When your DStv shows an installation wizard, it usually means you need to set up your decoder for the first time, so follow the on-screen prompts to select your language, choose the correct satellite for your region (typically "IS20" for South Africa), and then select "Manual Setup" to configure your LNB type and scan for channels; if you're still having trouble, check your cable connections and ensure your dish is properly aligned, or contact DStv installers like us service for assistance

A video tutorial is available for users with HD decoders and single or twin LNBs. Alternatively, follow these steps: Press the blue "DStv button", navigate to "Settings" > "Satellite Settings" > "Home Network" > "Launch Installation Wizard".

If power cycling fails, you might have to do a factory reset of your DStv decoder. Find the small reset button at the bottom or back of your decoder and hold it down for approximately 10 seconds using a pin or paperclip. Afterward, your decoder will restart, and the installation wizard should erase itself.
