nichemarket's primary function is that of a social marketplace and business information hub. A place where we can bring together entrepreneurs looking to promote their business and services as well as consumers looking for local businesses and services.

A social marketplace my sound like a fancy concept for something we already do without thinking about it. It's an online version of word of mouth. A digital community for business owners and consumers to make valuable connections. 

We provide the technology that makes it simple for business owners can be seen online and for consumers to find local businesses. After you've found your match, we let the two of you take it from there and wish you all the best.

Who is responsible for the accuracy of data?

nichemarket is a user-generated content site and while we try to take great care in making sure you get accurate results we are not responsible for the accuracy of the data displayed on profiles. nichemarketers are fully accountable for the data they place on the site.

Can you be banned from using nichemarket?

Yes, you can. If you are found in breach our terms and conditions or our content policy, we will have no choice but to place your profile under digital arrest. Your user profile will be blacklisted, and you will no longer have access to it.

Can you be banned from listing a business on nichemarket?

Yes, you can. If you are found in breach our terms and conditions or our content policy, we will have no choice but to place your profile under digital arrest. Your user profile and the business listing will be blacklisted, and you will no longer have access to it.

Where can I find the latest updates on nichemarket?

The digital space is an ever-changing world and iterating on our service is what will improve your use of the site. We're are continually adding improvements or making changes to our site based on usability testing, data analytics and of course your good old-fashioned feedback which we really appreciate. How to browse our categories for businesses?

Visit our homepage or category page and navigate to the category of your choice. You will be directed to our category listing page, and from there you can refine your results based on subcategories, location and distance from your area.

How to search for articles/blog posts?

Our blog or nichemarket news as we like to call it has an article search engine to make it easier for you to find the blog posts that suit your interests. Simple navigate to the search news field in any blog article or blog category page, add a keyword and click search. 

How to sign up for our newsletter/tell us your interests?

Navigate to the footer of any page on our site, and right at the bottom, you should find our newsletter sign up form. Include your name and email address and click sign up if you want to receive our general newsletter. 

If you would only like to receive newsletters based on a particular category of businesses you can do so by selecting the category from the drop-down menu and then clicking sign up.

You should receive a success message should have completed all the steps correctly.

How to link to your nichemarket profile?

Visit your profile and on nichemarket, and you have the option to copy the link in the URL bar, or you can click on the share button below your business logo. 

You will then have the option of sharing it to social media or an email. Select email and your device should populate an email for you with the link included. 

Is nichemarket an eCommerce platform?

No, nichemarket is a social marketplace which allows consumers and local entrepreneurs to meet and facilitate trade. Online purchases cannot be made via the nichemarket website.

Does nichemarket do order fulfilment?

No, nichemarket does not facilitate any transactions or delivery of services or products. Any distribution of goods and services is solely the responsibility of the listed company.

We've done market research to find out what are the most popular businesses categories that are often marginalised by the current search trends.  We've reviewed thousands of keywords and search queries in the process to see what businesses South Africans are looking for but find it difficult to get accurate results.

Is nichemarket available outside South Africa?

Unfortunately not, we're solely focusing on promoting local businesses within South Africa. We will consider expanding internationally in future.

    Who and how can you rate and review a business?

    As a nicheseeker, we rely on you as an active member of the community to provide valuable insight into the performances of businesses listed on nichemarket. If you used the services of a registered company and would like to share your frustrations or your compliments you can do so via ratings and reviews.

    To rate and review a business all you need to do is visit that businesses listing and scroll down to the ratings and review section. You will need to evaluate a company based on three criteria namely: Price, service and quality. 

    You can also provide a detailed review of your experience so nichemarketers and nicheseekers can benefit from your feedback.

    Who and how can you favourite a business?

    As a nicheseeker, you can create curated lists of your favourite businesses for quick access when using the website. To favourite, a company all you need to do is visit their nichemarket listing and click the favourite button underneath the logo.

    How can you report a business?

    As a nicheseeker, we rely on you as an active member of the community to flag businesses who are misleading or fraudulent. If you have reason to believe a company has broken our terms & conditions you can report it by visiting their nichemarket listing and clicking the report button underneath the logo.

    How to recover my account?

    To list your business on nichemarket is FREE. We do not charge you to create a profile nor create a business listing page. You will always have access to your profile and have no limits on the number of edits and updates you need to make. 

    How does business listing moderation work?

    Once you list your business on nichemarket, our admin team will review it for verification purposes. We will make sure that you categorise your business correctly or block any listings that do not comply with our terms and conditions or content policy.

    What should I do if my business doesn't have a category on nichemarket?

    If your business does not fall under one of the current categories available, don't freak out. Our site continues to grow each day with new types introduced in the future. If we currently do not support your industry, then we encourage you to complete this form to tell us more about your business.

    If we receive plenty of interest in a specific category, we will look at adding it to our website sooner.
    How do I advertise or get additional exposure on the nichemarket website?

    Who can advertise on nichemarket?

    We accept advertising for a range of businesses from startups to large corporates. To ensure an improved return on investment & native experience for visitors, we will not consider any advertising proposals that do not match our audience interests.

    To comment on one of our blog articles, you will need to register an account with us. You can register as a nicheseeker or as a nichemarketer and create your user profile. Once that's done you can feel free to comment to your hearts' delight.

    How are comments moderated?

    Everyone has an opinion of that we are sure, but it doesn't mean every comment ads value to the site. Our team of moderators review comments and only approve ones that we feel provided real value to our readers. Perhaps it's an interesting question we can answer or a valuable well thought out opinion. 

    Comments like "great post", link spamming or low-quality content will not receive approval on the site. We want to make sure that we continue to refine every piece of material on our website and make sure that we provide the best reading experience. 

    nichemarket is a community-driven website, and we rely on you for content. All content on business listings, reviews and comments are all 100% user generated and therefore we need you to help verify the legitimacy of claims.

    Reviews


    Ratings and reviews are an essential part of the nichemarket ecosystem. Making sure our reviews are honest and helpful means a lot to us and we are sure it means a lot to you too. So to preserve the quality of reviews we've set up a few guidelines. 

    What happens to fake reviews?

    If you believe someone is acting unethically and trying to sabotage your business with false claims that are negative reviews, you can dispute the comments made, and if proven false we will be more than happy to remove a review from your profile.

    Can I dispute a review?

    Yes, you can. Firstly you will need to contact the person in question yourself and try to resolve the issue. If you can prove through written documentation that the person placing the review is acting unethically and has no justification for their claims you can file a dispute by contacting us directly.

    Reporting


    It's not always the consumer that is at fault, and we realise businesses can also act irresponsibly. It's up to our community of nichemarketers and nicheseekers to help us stamp out any such behaviour and promote honest trade. 

    Someone has created a listing for my business what do I do?

    Firstly you will need to contact the person in question yourself and try to resolve the issue. If you can prove through written documentation that the person placing the review is acting unethically and has no justification for their claims you can file a dispute by contacting us directly. If you're a registered business, please provide documentation that you are the owner/director of the company. 

    Someone is using fake images or images of my business what do I do?

    Firstly you will need to contact the person in question yourself and try to resolve the issue. If you can prove through written documentation that the person placing the listing the business is acting unethically and has no justification for their claims you can file a dispute by contacting us directly.
