nichemarket listings available on Petal Search

nichemarket launched with the idea of giving South African businesses more straightforward access to online visibility. We've built our service on ease of use and taking away all the technical issues that come with having an online presence and getting your business in front of users.

We leverage the latest technology and digital marketing strategies to attract the right local traffic to your business and provide consumers with ideas around services they need and options with access to our over 4000 local service providers.

In the last two years, we've continued to grow and add new features to make it easier for South African businesses and consumers to find each other online.

In 2021, we've taken it a step further with our latest integration with Huawei's new mobile-first search engine known as Petal Search.

What is Petal Search?

Petal search is a search engine similar to the likes of Google but has a couple of new features and focus on mobile-first indexing. Petal Search is now available in 170 countries, including South Africa, following new developments to the Huawei Mobile Service ecosystem back in October of 2020.

If you would like to learn more about Petal search, we suggest you check out our detailed guide.

Where do I find Petal Search?

Petal search comes pre-installed on certain Huawei Smartphones, however, older models may have to install the service via the Huawei app gallery.

What does this mean for nichemarketers?

Since nichemarket is now integrated with Petal Search, it means we open up South African businesses to a brand new source of local consumers.

Any South African using a Huawei device with Petal search installed can now find local businesses and service providers. We all know South Africa is a mobile-first country, and having a high-quality mobile optimised presence can make all the difference.

Now nichemarketers with approved listings will be featured on South African Huawei devices. Any South African consumer can access this data with a simple search from a brand name, to a service-based keyword as you would do with Google.
