What Is Keyword Staking?

How to stake tokens for keyword traffic

When it comes to paid search traffic Google is the undisputed king of the market there is no site in the world that can give you the exposure Google can, and because of this they basically dictate the price at which traffic costs on the internet. If you want traffic for a certain keyword used on a search engine you need to bid for it and pay more money than your competitor. This dynamic auction goes on 24/7 and ensures those who pay more and have the most comprehensive keyword strategy get a lion share of the traffic for a specific niche.

Paid serach marketers and business owners are always looking to try and tap into cheaper sources of traffic which is why we see the growth in Microsoft Ads, which is the alternative to Google ads and places bids across Bing, Yahoo and DuckDuckGo. Microsoft ads use the same model as Google, however due to lower traffic volume there's less or even no competition, and in many cases, you can find affordable opportunities for traffic.

Presearch and Dsearch

Googles dominance has been well documented for some time, and many have accepted that they cannot compete with the internet giant for market share in the web 2.0 space. However, those looking into web 3.0 and the integration fo blockchain are looking to disrupt search engine use and search engine marketing with a different take on using the tool.

Presearch has been running for some time now, rewarding users for searching via their platform with a small bit of their native token added to their wallet each time the user performs a search. Those tokens could be sold on the open market or be used to stake for access to traffic for certain keywords.

What is keyword staking?

If everyone collected their tokens and sold them on the open market, the token would quickly lose value and their needs to be buyers willing to pick up tokens from those who sell it. Keyword staking is the first use case for the PRE token and is a novel way of buying search traffic.

Keyword Staking is a term for committing your PRE tokens to a specific search term. If you stake the most tokens to a given keyword, your ad will show up when someone searches for that term on Presearch / Dsearch.

You still maintain ownership of your PRE while they are staked, but if you choose to 'unstake' them from a given term, or if someone stakes more than you, your ad will no longer be shown. As long as you are the largest stakeholder of a keyword, your ad will continue to show.

That's right no need to consider no cost per click, no cost per impression, and no cost per action. Just real, quality traffic from more than 1.3m Presearch users and you don't lose your investment, you can always sell the coins in the future.

Why keyword staking?

Keyword staking helps reduce the amount of liquidity of PRE tokens and maintains a set value as there is a demand for the token. The more traffic Presearch/Dsearch acquire, the more valuable staking their token will become and thus drive up the price. The higher the price of the token, the more money available for the ecosystem to continue to develop and improve the service.

Benefits of keyword staking

Instead of constantly throwing money at search engines for the traffic they provide staking allows you to invest in the platform and receive a return in the form of traffic. Staking also reduces the domination of one player over several keywords as it becomes too costly to purchase every keyword and allows others to share in the traffic more evenly.

Since you're not paying per click the money you invest in staking continues to provide value as long as you get traffic. While the initial cost per click will be considered high, it reduces every month you maintain your staked position and lowers your cost per click over time.
